About

I grew up in Nagoya, Japan. From the time I was a small child, I loved drawing and crafting, and went on to study the basics of drawing in a design course offered by my high school.

After graduating high school, I entered an art studio in Italy to further study drawing and to hone my artistic senses. Afterward, I traveled to Paris and then to New York.

I learned of the collage, an artistic expression which combined my love of drawing and crafting from my days at school. I then chose this to be my personal art style.

Currently, I continue to draw not only Ukiyo-e portraits but also have begun to portray Shinto and Buddhist saints. My drawings are inspired by my travels.

In 2010, I participated in the 41st Japanese Today’s Visual Arts Exhibit in France and won the Le Prix Exposition de l’Art Actuel France-Japon Award.

日本、名古屋で育つ幼少期から絵を描く事とものづくりが好きで高校ではデザイン科に入り、絵を描く基礎を学ぶ。

高校卒業後、絵の勉強と自分の感性を磨く為にイタリアの美術工房へ入り、その後パリ、NYを旅する。学生時代に「絵を描く事」と「ものづくり」の両方ができるコラージュの表現に出会い、その後コラージュを自分のアートのスタイルに。

現在は美人画だけではなく、神仏画も描き始め、旅に出ては、そこで受けたインスピレーションを作品にしていっている。
